Our flipped classroom style ensures that each student is fully engaged in what they are working on.
First, we allow each student to code on their own and have them try and figure out what each component means. Next, we explain to them what each line of code does and why each is important.
We’ve learned that students think more critically and are more engaged and eager to learn when they want to know if they were correct in what they are thinking. It makes students more interested in what each function does and why each is important to the entire code.
